What this site
does with your data
Not much, and nothing without a reason. This page says what is collected, why, who sees it, and how to change your mind.
Who
The controller
This site is run by Yeep Records Ltd, a UK company, which is the data controller for anything collected here. To ask about your data, use the contact form and pick "Something else".
Analytics
Only if you say yes
We would like to use Google Analytics to see how the site is used: which pages people read, roughly where they are, and how they got here. It sets cookies, so it only runs after you click "Yes" on the banner. Until then the site sends nothing to Google at all.
If you click "No", that is remembered in your browser and nothing is set. Either way you can change your mind: "Cookie choices" at the bottom of every page brings the banner back. Google's own notice on how it handles analytics data is at policies.google.com.
Your choice itself is stored in your browser's local storage, not in a cookie, so declining leaves nothing behind.
Contact form
Enquiries
The contact form asks for your name, email address, optionally an organisation, a topic and your message. It is sent to the label's inbox as an email through Resend, our email provider, along with the country your request came from. Nothing is stored on this site.
We use it to reply to you and for nothing else. The lawful basis is legitimate interests: you asked us something, and answering is what you would expect. Sending an enquiry never adds you to a mailing list. That only happens if you tick the separate box on the form.
Mailing list
The signup
If you sign up, or tick the box on the contact form, we store your email address and the fact that you said yes, in Resend, in a list for Yeep Records. The lawful basis is your consent, which is why the box is never pre-ticked.
We use it to email you about new releases and news from the label and its artists. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect straight away. We never pass the list to anyone else.
Hosting
Behind the scenes
The site is served by Cloudflare, which, like any web host, keeps short-lived request logs including your IP address for security and to keep the site running. We do not use those logs to identify visitors. The site sets no cookies of its own, and its fonts and images are served from here, not from a third party.
The home page has a SoundCloud player for the current release. It is a picture and a button until you press play; only then is SoundCloud's player loaded, and SoundCloud may set its own cookies from that point. Its notice is at soundcloud.com/pages/privacy.
Who else
Who sees it
Three companies process data on our behalf, each only for the job described above: Cloudflare (hosting), Resend (email and the mailing list), and Google (analytics, only if you consented). SoundCloud receives a request only if you press play on its player. We do not sell data, and we do not share it with anyone else unless the law requires it.
We keep enquiries for as long as it takes to deal with them and any follow-up, and list addresses until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
What you can ask for
Under UK data protection law you can ask to see the data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, object to how it is used, or withdraw consent at any time. Use the contact form and we will sort it out.
If you are not happy with how we have handled something, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
